Refund & Cancellation Policy

Overview

This Refund and Cancellation Policy outlines the terms for subscription cancellations and refund requests for SnapReel premium services.

SnapReel is free to use with ads. Premium subscriptions remove ads, watermarks, and unlock HD exports. Premium can be purchased via Google Play Billing or UPI Autopay.

How Premium Subscription Works

  • Free Tier: All features are available for free with ads, watermark, and standard resolution
  • Premium: Ad-free, no watermark, full HD exports
  • Payment: Via Google Play Billing or UPI Autopay mandate
  • Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle
  • Pre-Debit Notification: For UPI Autopay, you will receive a notification before each renewal charge

How to Cancel

Google Play Subscriptions:

  1. Open Google Play Store
  2. Tap your Profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions
  3. Find SnapReel and tap Cancel subscription

UPI Autopay (Mandate):

⚠️ UPI mandates must be cancelled from your payment app, not from SnapReel.

  • Google Pay: Profile → Settings → Autopay/Mandates → SnapReel → Deactivate
  • PhonePe: My Money → Mandates → SnapReel → Revoke
  • Paytm: Profile → Settings → Payments → Manage Autopay → SnapReel → Cancel
  • Other UPI Apps / Net Banking: Check your app's mandate/autopay settings

After Cancellation:

  • No further charges will occur
  • Premium access continues until the end of the current billing period
  • After expiry, you return to the free tier (with ads and watermark)
  • Deactivate the mandate at least 24 hours before renewal to avoid the next charge

When Refunds ARE Provided

  • Duplicate Charges: If you were charged multiple times for the same period due to a technical error
  • Overcharges: If an incorrect amount was deducted due to a technical issue on our end
  • Unauthorized Charges: If a charge was made without your authorization (subject to verification)
  • Service Completely Unavailable: If the app was entirely unavailable for more than 50% of your billing period due to issues on our end

For Google Play purchases: Refund requests should be directed to Google Play Support, as they handle the billing.

When Refunds Are NOT Provided

  • Change of Mind: Deciding you no longer want premium after purchase
  • Forgot to Cancel: Being charged because you forgot to cancel before renewal
  • Unused Subscription: Not using the app during your subscription period
  • Partial Period: Unused days after mid-cycle cancellation
  • Device Issues: Problems caused by your device or internet connection
  • Template Dissatisfaction: Not liking a template after use (previews are available)

How to Request a Refund

For UPI Autopay payments:

  1. Reach out to us via our Contact Us page
  2. Subject: "Refund Request - [Reason]"
  3. Include: Device ID, transaction date and amount, reason for refund, screenshots if applicable

Processing Time:

  • Review: 3-5 business days
  • Refund processing (if approved): 5-7 business days
  • Bank reflection: Additional 5-10 business days

For Google Play payments:

Please request refunds through Google Play Store → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Budget & order history → Find the order → Request a refund.
